At Thrybergh Banks: Blue-tailed Damselfly - 2; Banded Demoiselle - 'colony' of c.15m and less then 10 females.

Wednesday 9th June
At Firsby Res: Broad-bodied Chaser - 3m + 3 imm males.
At Kilnhurst Ings: Banded Demoiselle - 6m, 3f.

Friday 11th June
At New Stubbin: a male Broad-Bodied Chaser seen around small pond.

Sunday 13th June
At Thrybergh Banks: Banded Demoiselle - 1m; Emperor Dragonfly - 1m.
At R.Don, Aldwarke: Banded Demoiselle - 6m, 3f minimum.

Monday 14th June
At Firsby Res: Four-spotted Chaser - 2+; Broad-bodied Chaser - 6+; Black-tailed Skimmer - 4+.
At Wentworth Estate this afternoon: Emperor Dragonfly - 1 male; Azure Damselfly - many mating and ovipositing
At New Stubbin: Broad-bodied Chaser - 1 male.

Wednesday 16th June
At New Stubbin: Banded Demoiselle - 1; Common Blue Damselfly - 1.

Wednesday 23rd June
At Catcliffe Flash: Banded Demoiselle - 10+ along the River.

Friday 25th June
At Treeton Dyke: Black-tailed Skimmer - a female; Common Darter - a juvenile; Ruddy Darter - a female or immature.
At Thrybergh CP: Emperor Dragonfly - 1.

Tuesday 29th June
Wentworth Estate [DS]: Blue-tailed Damselfly - many.

Sunday 27th June
At Aldwarke SF [PL]: Emperor Dragonfly - one male patrolling fence around Candlelight factory.

Tuesday 6th July
At Wentworth Estate [DS]: Banded Demoiselle - 1; Black-tailed Skimmer - 1 fem ovipositing; Brown Hawker - 2.
At Catcliffe [AD]: Emerald Damselfly - 1; Banded Demoiselle - 2; Brown Hawker - 1.
At Horsefair Park, Swinton [PL]: an ovipositing Emperor dragonfly, a pair of Broad-bodied Chasers and small numbers of Blue-tailed Damsels [all on a newly developed pond].

Sunday 11th July
At Treeton Tip [AD]: Ruddy Darter.

Tuesday 13th July 2004
At Wentworth [DS]: Emperor Dragonfly - 1 male.

Tuesday 20th July 2004
At Wentworth [DS]: Emperor Dragonfly - 1 male; Four-spotted Chaser - 2; Brown Hawker - 1.
Along the canal into Rotherham [M.Langston]: Emperor Dragonfly - 2; Brown Hawker - 3.
At Barbrook bridge [AD]: Large Red Damselfly - 2; Emerald Damselfly - several; Black Darter - one teneral; Golden-ringed Dragonfly - one male.

Wednesday 21st July
At Catcliffe Flash [RDRW]: Banded Demoiselle - 3.
At Treeton Tip [MAS]: Ruddy Darter - now a few full adult males (difficult to enumerate among the Common darters); Emerald Damselfly - into double figures.

Saturday 23rd July 2004
At Firsby Res [PL]: Black-tailed Skimmer (5m + 1f ovipositing); Brown Hawker (1m); Common Darter (1-2 recently emerged).

Tuesday 27th July 2004
At Treeton Dyke [PL]: Brown Hawker - 1; Common Darter - several; Blue-tailed Damselfly - frequent.

Thursday 5th August 2004
At Horsefair Park, Swinton [PL]: Emperor dragonfly (1m); Broad-bodied Chaser (1m); Common Darter (1m).

Saturday 7th August 2004
A Lesser Emperor dragonfly at Treeton Dyke [R.Platts].

Sunday 8th August 2004
At Thrybergh Banks [PL]: Brown Hawker (2m).

[AD]: 1 Southern Hawker, 1 Migrant Hawker, Brown Hawker, good numbers of Ruddy Darters including tandem pairs.

Sunday 15th August 2004
At the Aldwarke SF site [PL]: Brown Hawker - 1.
At Little Barbrook/Barbrook area [AD]: good numbers Black Darter, several Common Hawkers, 1 Southern Hawker, 1 Brown Hawker, a female Emerald Damselfly being despatched by large spider.
