Little Swift in Nottingham.

On Saturday 26th May 2001, a Little Swift was located at Netherfield Fly-ash Lagoons, just south east of Nottingham City Centre. These three photographs were taken by Richard Hill on the afternoon of Sunday 27th May 2001. The bird stayed at the site throughout the next day and into Tuesday 29th when it was seen up to the early afternoon, but not thereafter. A difficult bird to catch on camera, it was typically always on the move until it roosted by clinging to the sides of a nearby railway bridge on the three nights it stayed over.
