INTERESTED IN BIRD-WATCHING IN THE SHEFFIELD AREA ?
The Sheffield bird Study Group is the leading ornithological society in the
city and has been active in and around Sheffield since 1972. Its activities
aim to satisfy the interests of all those concerned with local ornithology.
The group is open to anyone interested in birds, from expert to beginner. As
a member you will be encouraged to help with the numerous surveys with which
we are involved. But please note, there is no pressure on anyone to participate.
Membership runs from 1st January to 31st December. Anyone joining after
October will receive membership for the following year, i.e. up to 14
months membership.
Membership of the Group enables you to:
Attend the Group's indoor and field meetings
A copy of the Annual Bird Report published in the year of membership
(e.g. a member in 2001 would receive a 2000 report).
Receive the S.B.S.G. Bulletin [Newsletter] - five issues per year.
Participate in field-work and improve your identification skills
Play a part in local conservation
