Restoration Monitoring Volunteers
Moors for the Future is looking for people with field survey experience
to
undertake the vegetation monitoring on the Black Hill and Bleaklow
moorland
restoration sites. The survey will be late June / early July
2008 onwards
for 8-10 weeks. Although the duration of the work does
depend on the number
of surveyors we have available at any one time –
last year the survey took
around 8 weeks to complete with 2-3 people out
4 days a week. We had a pool
of 7 volunteers to call on in total with
most being available 3 days a week.
Ideally we are looking for a
minimum commitment of 10-20 days from the
volunteers.
Background
information on the post and an application form is available
in writing from
the Moors for the Future office or at
http://moorsforthefuture.org.uk/mftf/information/opportunities.htm.
Completed
applications are to be returned to the Moorland Centre by 16
May 2008. We
hope to shortlist / interview, depending on numbers of
applications, at the
beginning of June and then have an induction at the
end of June
2008.
Any further information – I can be reached on the numbers
given below.
