Strines: Osprey - 1 - Satellite tagged bird Beatrice spent the night of 1st/2nd April having travelled 229 kms north from Reading during the day. The next day she set off from Strines after 8 am and incredibly was in the Highlands of Scotland at Pitlochry (due west of Lintrathen) by the evening - a journey of 452 kms31 March 2010

Langsett Moor: Snipe - 2 - Pair rose from the moor and circled the area giving odd call at 7.20am. ; Sparrowhawk - 1 - Male ; Swallow - 4 ; Meadow Pipit - 10 - south ; Grey Wagtail - 1 - Flying between Langsett and Midhope Res.Langsett Res: Pied Wagtail - 4 - Family party ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 22 - On the water at 4.30pm. ; Grey Wagtail - 1 ; Meadow Pipit - 4 - south at 4.30pm ; ARCTIC SKUA - 1 - Dark-morph juvenile west at 7.30am ; Swallow - 10
Midhope Moor: Buzzard - 3 - Seen just above horizon at 5pm. ; Red Grouse - c.30 - At least - probably more.
Midhope Res: Little Grebe - 2 - Adults on res at 4.45pm ; Chiffchaff - 1 ; Bullfinch - 2 ; Tufted Duck - 1 ; Swallow - 5 - south at 4.45pm
Morehall Res: Cormorant - 2 - roosting in trees ; Teal - 1 - female, still present from yesterday, feeding at far end of reservoir near ewden village and also at overflow half an hour later ; Peregrine - 1 - flew over reservoir.

Broomhead Res: Pied Wagtail - 54 - large flock perched on the broomhead dam wall, with several on pavement ; Common Buzzard - 1Dukes Road: WRYNECK - 1 - Seen at 9.45am around 100m W of Rushy Dike (sk226948) drinking for about 30 secs then flew S. No sign in evening. ;
Ewden Height: Common Buzzard - 12 - Soaring and gaining height over Ewden Height. Four of which drifted off in a NW direction, last seen heading towards Knottingley.
Morehall Res: Grey Wagtail - 3 ; Teal - 1 - female feeding at the lower part of the broomhead/morehall overflow ; Great Crested Grebe - 2 ; Swallow - 40+ - feeding over resevoir
