Visible Migration Studies in Sheffield.

A small number of people are active in studying Visible Migration from various vantage points around the area. Counts are taken from August into November, with the peak usually sometime during October, although this varies from species to species. Most of the migration activity takes place during the first two or three hours after dawn, although on really good days it can continue longer, even into the afternoon or, on rare occasions, all day.
