a steady trickle SW [c.60 in 90 minutes].

At Redmires: Yellow Wagtail - 2; Tree Pipit - 3 west; Sand Martin - one; Swallow - 55.

At Redmires [Richard Hill]: Swallow - c.50; Sand Martin - 1; Tree Pipit - c.5 (including 1-2 on dam wall).
At Thrybergh CP [Paul Leonard]: Tree Pipit - 2 SE.
A Tree Pipit south at Carr Vale [Mark Beevers].

Monday 25th August 2003
At Thrybergh CP [Paul Leonard]: c.20 Swallows, c.20 Sand Martins and c.400 House Martins all dropped in ahead of squally showers.
At Redmires [Richard Hill]: 50 Swallows, one Sand Martin, one Tree Pipit.

Tuesday 26th August 2003
An influx of 20 Chiffchaffs at Carr Vale [Mark Beevers].

At Redmires: Yellow Wagtail - one SW.

At Thrybergh Banks [Paul Leonard]: 7 Swift high over.
At Thrybergh CP [Paul Leonard]: Swift - 33 through during morning; Sand Martin - 20+; Meadow Pipit - 7 SE + 3 'down'; 'Alba' Wagtail - 3 at 0630h increased to 31 by mid-morning; Yellow Wagtail - 1.

At Thrybergh CP [PL]: Meadow Pipit - strong movement south with at least 173 between 0630-0900h, decreasing throughout morning; Siskin - 5 south.
At Redmires [RDH]: Meadow Pipit - 1325 south in 2 hrs; Pied Wagtail - 12 SW; Grey Wagtail - 6 SW; House Martin - 375 SW; Swallow - 75 SW; Jay 38 S&W in 9 parties 0800-1000h; Linnet - 10 S; Siskin - 5 W.

Goldfinch - 21 south at Redmires.

Saturday 4th October 2003 [RDH]
Rock Pipit - one present; Redwing - 4 SW; Swallow - one SW; Linnet - 50 south.

At Redmires: Woodpigeon - 250 south; Collared Dove - 4 west; Skylark - 85 south was the highest count for some years; Meadow Pipit - 100 south; Swallow - 1 SW; House Martin - 7 SE; Song Thrush - 3 west; Redwing - 9 west; Fieldfare - 2 west; Starling - 46 west; Jackdaw - 32 SW: Chaffinch - 160 west; Greenfinch - 305 west [a record count]; Brambling - 60 west; Linnet - 50 south; Siskin - 35 west; Goldfinch - 18 south; Lesser Redpoll - 12 SW; Reed Bunting - 8 west or NW; Yellowhammer - 1 south; House Sparrow - 1 SW.
