Beeley Wood: Great Spotted Woodpecker - 2 - Pair angrily chased off a solitary Magpie, presumably too near nest hole at 05.50am
Brown Edge, Ringinglow: Grasshopper Warbler - 1 - reeling in same area as last year ; Stonechat - 1 - female very agitated by observer's presence
Cowell Flat: Ring Ouzel - 5 - 3m 2f in rushy field ; Wheatear - 10+ - in single rushy field. ; Cuckoo - 1 - singing
Dore: Mandarin - 2 - 1pr feeding on Dore garden lawn 0700
Forge Dam: Teal - 2 - female ; View Picture, Mallard - 22 - inc a female with 10 ducklings ; View Picture, Mandarin - 1 - Male ; View Picture, Teal - 2 - 2 females still present ; Mandarin - 1 - male, calling frequently (female present?)

Canklow Woods: Sparrowhawk - 1 - 1 displaying
Catcliffe Flash: Blackcap - 3 - Males singing in close proximity near lake.
Emlin Dike: Grey Wagtail - 1 - male singing on footbridge
Firsby Res: Kestrel - 2 - Pair together ; Canada Goose - 1 - Single on main Res, first record this year, not a common species at this site. ; Gadwall - 2 - Pair ; Mallard - 1 - M + F together with 1 ducking. ; Coot - 2 ; Reed Warbler - 1 - Singing along stream. ; Whitethroat - 1 - Calling from undergrowth. ; Blackcap - 1 ; Willow Warbler - 3 ; Chiffchaff - 2 ; Willow Tit - 1 ; Reed Bunting - 2 ; Swallow - 6
