  • Cutthroat Bridge: Tree Pipit - 1 - singing. ; Sparrowhawk - 1 - mobbed by Mistle Thrush pair ; Ring Ouzel - 2 - pair ; Willow Warbler - 4 ; Sand Martin - 1 - over NE
  • Heeley: Cetti's Warbler - 1 - still singing (adjacent to My Fathers Heart/railway embankment) this morning
  • Ladybower Res, North arm: Red Kite - 1 - circling
  • Middleton Moor: Ruff - 5 ; Yellow Wagtail - 1
  • Morley Pond: Mallard - 11+ - including female with 10 ducklings crossing track from Dog Kennel ; Great Crested Grebe - 2 - pair at nest, swapping over egg-sitting

  • Peat Pits: Golden Plover - 20 ; Wheatear - 1 ; Lapwing - 15 - inc pair with 3 recently hatched chicks. ; Snipe - 1

  • Scholes Ground: Grey Heron - 2 - appeared to be stalking ducklings ; Mallard - 4+ - pair with at least 2 chicks, drake aggressively approached heron ; Greylag Goose - 3 ; Mandarin - 1 - male, up from water then along Cascades ; Moorhen - 1
  • Silverwood Lagoon: BITTERN - 1 ; Lesser Whitethroat - 1 - singing in Hollings Lane meadows ; Wheatear - 1 - female on bare ground beyond southern end of lagoon ; Reed Warbler - 5 - singing ; Sedge Warbler - 1 - singing ; Whitethroat - 14+ - at least 14 singing around pit top this morning

  • Wentworth, Dog Kennel: Stock Dove - 1 - briefly drinking from stream at overflow
