Tom is the RSPB’s Senior Policy Officer for uplands, covering topics such as agriculture and land management practices. Formerly working as a Conservation Officer for the RSPB in the Dark Peak and in the Research and Monitoring Team at Moors for the Future Partnership prior to that. He’s particularly passionate about the uplands and the opportunities they provide for wilder more biodiverse spaces.
Tom will be talking about the state of waders in the uplands of the Peak District with a particular focus on the RSPB managed sites at Eastern Moors and Dove Stones run partnership with the National Trust and United Utilities, respectively. He will also touch his work monitoring farmland waders in various parts of the Dark Peak landscape, between 2022 and 2025.
